Woman charged after unsupervised child, 4, climbs into car; dies in Georgia

Authorities in Georgia have arrested a woman after a 4-year-old boy died inside of a car on July 24.

Kelsey Monaco, 30, was charged with first-degree child cruelty and murder after the unsupervised child left his apartment and climbed into a car.

  • The boy was later found unresponsive inside the vehicle and was brought to a local hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

    Authorities did not disclose Monaco’s relationship to the boy or how he died inside the car.

    The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is leading the probe into the tragic incident.
