A beloved Texas high school cheer coach was killed Tuesday morning when a stray bullet struck her at a downtown San Antonio bar, police said.
28-year-old Ayden Burt was fatally shot while sitting on the upper level of a patio bar.
The victim was reportedly hit by a stray bullet fired from the highway while visiting the town for a conference.

Jasper Independent School District confirmed Burt’s death in a social media post.
“It is with a heavy heart that we have learned of the passing of one of our staff members, Ayden Burt,” the post read.
“We ask for prayers of comfort for her family, as well as her extended family, the students and staff of Jasper ISD.”
