Arizona man charged with murder after kidnapped girlfriend jumps from car, dies during police chase

An Arizona man is facing murder charges after a woman he allegedly kidnapped jumped from his moving vehicle during a police chase and died Saturday.

William Nathaniel Holloway, 36, is accused of forcing his girlfriend into a car after taking drugs and refusing to let her leave.

The woman called the police on July 20 to report that Holloway kidnapped her and was driving them to Mt. Lemmon.

Police located the suspect’s vehicle and ordered him to stop but he refused, leading Pima County deputies on a chase.

    She was taken to an area hospital where she died from the critical injuries sustained in the fall.

    Holloway, who had a lengthy rap sheet in Arizona, was arrested after getting a flat tire.

    He faces charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping, and unlawful flight from law enforcement.
