Former President Donald Trump’s White House physician shared an update on his injury one week after assassination attempt.
“I have been with President Trump since that time, and I have evaluated and treated his wound daily,” Congressman Ronny Jackson said.
“He is doing well. As reported and witnessed by the entire world, he sustained a gunshot wounds to the right ear from a high-powered rifle used by the would-be assassin.”
The former physician of Trump and Barack Obama described how the bullet came less than a quarter of an inch from striking Trump’s head.
“The bullet track produced a 2-centimeter-wide wound that extended down to the cartilaginous surface of the ear,”
“There was initially significant bleeding, followed by marked swelling of the entire upper ear.”
Jackson said that while intermittent bleeding lingers, Trump’s wound is healing properly.
“I am extremely thankful his life was spared. It is an absolute miracle he wasn’t killed.
