A travel influencer fell to her death down a 300ft-tall waterfall on Tuesday while filming an Instagram video.
Aanvi Kamdar, 27, plunged after she tumbled while recording the scenic view in Kumbhe Waterfall in Marjurne, India for her 300,000 followers.
Her friends called emergency services. She was reportedly still alive and responsive when recovered from the waterfall six hours later.
“As soon as we reached the spot, we realized that the girl has fallen nearly 300 to 350ft,” a rescuer said.
“Even after reaching her, it was difficult to get her up, as she was injured and it was raining heavily.”
“So we decided to get her out using a vertical pulley.”
Another rescuer described that Kamdar was hard to spot after landing on the hard and slippery rocks.
“She was sent up using a stretcher attached to rappelling ropes. Six rescuers climbed down the hill, while another 50 assisted atop the hillock.”
Kamdar was taken to a hospital and placed on life-support before succumbing to her injuries.
She and her friends had decided to visit the waterfall to document the local monsoon season.
