Wealthy entrepreneur jumps to death from luxury Manhattan hotel, leaving suicide note

A wealthy businessman jumped to his death from a luxury Manhattan hotel on Tuesday morning, leaving behind a heartbreaking suicide note.

64-year-old J. Michael Cline, co-founder of Fandango, fell from The Kimberly Hotel landing on the hotel’s third-flood courtyard.

Police said Cline left a note inside his room on the 20th floor of the hotel.

    Cline, who had just undergone gallbladder surgery, was a wealthy entrepreneur with several multi-million dollar homes and mansions on Long Island, Connecticut, and Florida.

    His movie-ticketing business Fandango struggled during the pandemic but the Harvard University graduate had other firms including Juxtapose and Accretive, both specializing in funding startups.
