Three people were killed and six others wounded early Sunday when gunfire erupted at a packed block party in West Philadelphia.
Police said nearly 100 people attended the party in the 1200 block of North Alden Street.
The shooting was reported just after 2 a.m. The deceased victims were three males aged 23, 29, and 33.
The injured ranged in age from mid-20s to 30s. Their conditions ranged from stable to serious.
A weapon and several spent bullets of multiple calibers were recovered from the scene.
Police said there is a possibility the shooting was carried out by several gunmen.
“Preliminary information indicates an exchange of gunfire between multiple parties resulting in a nonuple shooting and triple homicide,” authorities said.
