Three people were killed Friday evening when a plane trying to make an emergency landing crashed in northeastern Ohio, authorities said.
The Federal Aviation Administration said twin-engine Beechcraft 60 crashed near the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport around 6:45 p.m. Friday.

The victims were the pilot and two passengers. Their families have reportedly been notified of the tragedy.
A mechanical failure is suspected in the crash which occurred after the plane came in for an unscheduled emergency landing.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident.
