Tennessee man dies after firework explodes into his chest

A Maryville, Tennessee man is dead after a freak accident involving fireworks on the Fourth of July.

Blount County Sheriff’s deputies were at Evergreen Farms Lane at around 11 p.m. in response to reports of an unconscious person.

Matthew Sellars was reportedly shooting fireworks with a group of his friends when one exploded into his chest.

    Despite all efforts to save Sellars’ life, he died at 11:30 p.m. at Blount Memorial Hospital.

    No charges or citations were issued in connection to the tragic incident.
