Las Vegas news, Nevada news.

A Las Vegas man is facing murder charges after he allegedly abused his girlfriend’s 1-year-old causing him fatal injuries.

Kai Tesoro was not breathing when brought to a hospital last month with head injuries and fractures to both legs.

A doctor told detectives Kai’s condition “was one of the worst cases he had seen” in his career determining the injuries resulted from abuse.

28-year-old Christian Moniz Rabino was arrested on June 25 on first-degree murder, child abuse, and neglect charges in connection to Kai’s death.

  • A relative told detectives Rabino was frustrated with Kai, his girlfriend’s son, for crying and not being able to walk by himself.

The witness cited an incident in which Rabino “plated [Kai] feet-first on the ground” trying to force him to walk.

That action caused the fractures on Kai’s legs, detectives later determined.

“Our family has always believed Kai would bring a special type of Aloha to this world and those around him,” a GoFundMe launched by the victim’s grandfather read.

“In his passing, he fulfilled this belief with the donation of his organs to children in need. Kai is a true hero. His Aloha and spirit will continue to live on.”
