A 7-year-old Tennessee girl was found dead in a lake Thursday just an hour after authorities issued an Amber Alert to find her.
Serenity Alanna Marie Kinsey vanished from her Dandridge, Tennessee home at around 1 a.m. Thursday.

The non-verbal and autistic girl’s body was located shortly after 11 a.m. in Douglas Lake not far from her home.
“We have a heartbreaking update on the search for Serenity Kinsey,” the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said.
“A dive team located her body in a lake near her home a short time ago. Our hearts go out to her family during this difficult time.”
