Mead news, Oklahoma news.

An Oklahoma father of 10 was killed Sunday in a suspected DUI crash while trying to help victims of another collision.

Mary Davis said her 55-year-old Stefan Severini was struck near U.S. 70 as he crossed the roadway to help a crying child involved in the other collision.

“We came up on a wreck and I pulled close to the car. Stefan got out, checked on the guy to see if he was OK, and heard a baby crying and screaming,” the widow recalled.

“He did not think twice. He took off across the highway to try to get to the baby, and a truck hit him and killed him.”

“He’s leaving behind a legacy; A host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family,”

“He would always tell me to do the right thing. And that night he did the right thing, and he died a hero.”
