7 family members injured in Nebraska after 'racist' neighbor opens fire at their yard

A Nebraska man has taken his own life after he opened fire from his home at his Guatemalan neighbors’ yard hitting seven people.

The injured included three adults and four children and are all expected to survive their injuries, officials said.

The shooting, believed to be racially motivated, occurred at around 4:30 p.m. Friday in the Nebraskan community of Crete.

    Crete Police confirmed that Booth and the victims had a history of issues including incidents in which he yelled at them to “go home” and “speak English.”

    “Sometimes, he was just a normal person and nothing really you would even think of,” a neighbor said of Booth.

    “And then other times, he was kind of just yelling about anything or everything. No one really did anything to him to ever get any of that anger out of him.”
