Boy, 11, suffers fatal medical emergency while on trip to California water park

An eleven-year-old boy died after suffering a medical emergency at a California water park last weekend.

The victim, identified as Titus Winiger, was on a trip to Wild Rivers Waterpark with his youth group Saturday when tragedy struck.

“A juvenile was transported to the hospital and sadly passed away,” the Irvine Police Department posed on X.

“It does not appear the incident is water-related.”

  • The park’s officials said the boy suffered a medical emergency outside of a pool.

    “Our hearts go out to the boy’s family and loved ones during this difficult time,” they said in a statement.

    “We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.”

    A fundraiser was launched for the boy’s family to help with funeral expenses.

    “While the family is still waiting for more information or to understand why, we would like to meet them with love, support, and monetary donation that they may need during this time of sorrow.”
