A 2-month-old baby was found deceased inside a hot car in Santee, California last week.
On Thursday, at around 12:20 a.m., the baby girl was discovered unresponsive inside an SUV parked outside a house on Settle Road near Dalehurst Road.
Investigators determined the infant had been “left in the hot car” for “several hours.”
Paramedics provided life-saving measures at the scene before rushing the baby to Sharp Grossmont Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Sheriff’s officials warned parents of leaving a child unattended in a car as indoor temperatures can reach 105 degrees.
“Never leave your child alone in a car even for a second to dash into a store or to run a quick errand,”
“Once You Park, Stop, Look, Lock.”
