Lineman dies from electrocution while working to restore power to Texas community

A lineman died this week while working to restore power for a Texas community that was hardly hit by recent storms.

Scott Balentine, an employee of Farmers Electric Cooperative, was electrocuted while doing his job.

“This is a very sad time for everyone who knew Scott,” the company’s manager Mark Stubbs said.

    “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time.”

    Balentine, who worked as a lineman for a decade, is survived by his wife and 12-year-old daughter.
