A deranged man went on a stabbing spree Saturday evening, wounding four girls at an AMC movie theater and a fifth victim at a McDonald’s, Massachusetts authorities said.
The suspect reportedly entered the Braintree AMC without paying and launched an unprovoked attack on four young girls.
“Without saying anything and without any warning, he suddenly attacked and stabbed the four young females,” police said.
One of the victims, who ranged in age between nine and 17, suffered a critical wound in her arm.
The suspect took off before police arrived and went to a Plymouth McDonald’s where he stabbed another person at the rest area of the restaurant at around 7 p.m.
After the second attack, the suspect fled in a black SUV, leading cops on a pursuit that ended in a fiery crash.
The suspect was taken into custody. His identity was not immediately made public.
