An armed employee opened fire inside a linen company in Chester, Pennsylvania killing two people and wounding three others early Wednesday, authorities said.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. at Delaware County Linen in Chester where the suspect worked.
Two people suffered fatal gunshot wounds while three others, including one in critical condition, were taken to a local hospital.
Among the victims was the suspect’s supervisor, authorities confirmed. A motive remains unclear.
Delaware County District Attorney Official Margie McAboy described the gunman as a disgruntled employee of the company adding that he was apprehended as he attempted to escape.
“We have two individuals who unfortunately have lost their lives just by showing up at work today,” DA Jack Stollsteimer said.
“The employee came to work today with a firearm, took out his anger on…five employees he works with.”
