4 killed; 5 wounded in multi-vehicle crash along I-75 in Georgia

Four people were killed and five others injured in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred in Bartow County, Georgia Sunday evening.

Georgia State troopers responded to the scene on I-75 South at around 6 p.m. over reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles.

A Kia van carrying three people left the northbound lane for unknown reasons and crossed the grass median to southbound lanes where it collided with a Chevy Tahoe and a Toyota 4Runner.

  • A commercial vehicle and a Hyundai SUV then crashed into the wreck, the state patrol said. The victims were the three occupants of the Kia and the driver of the Toyota 4Runner.

    They were identified as Dakarai Mason, 43, Erin Mason, 35, and Brandon Crawford, 14.

    The Toyota’s driver was identified as Cartersville resident Aimee Odom, 21. Five other people suffered injuries in the collision.
