Tigard news, Oregon news.

An Oregon woman is facing serious charges for allegedly exposing her infant to drugs, Tigard Police said.

53-year-old Julia Apostello was found passed out with drug paraphernalia in plain view inside a parked vehicle late Friday.

Officers patrolling a shopping plaza went to investigate the unlicensed Jeep that was parked and still running when they made the shocking discovery.

A 10-month-old girl was also found inside the vehicle, sitting in a car seat.

The baby was taken to a hospital for potential exposure to drugs. Doctors confirmed she had fentanyl in her system.

“To believe a 10-month-old is around a drug like that is outrageous,” a worker in the plaza commented.

“It’s one of the deadliest drugs out there and it doesn’t take a lot to kill someone.”

Apostello was charged with criminal mistreatment, two counts of child neglect, endangering the welfare of a minor, and two counts of criminal mistreatment and recklessly endangering.
