Man sets himself ablaze outside Manhattan courthouse where Trump’s trial proceeds

Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the Manhattan Criminal Court where former President Donald Trump is being tried over reports of a man who set himself ablaze outside the building.

The self-immolation incident occurred at around 1:15 p.m. when the man became engulfed in flames inside a barricaded area of a park, across from the courthouse.

“[It was a very scary, active scene. Did not hear him say anything before he dosed himself with a fluid,” Politico reporter Emily Ngo said on X.

    “He was responsive when he was removed but he is very, very badly burned. Body charred,” the reporter added.

    The incident happened outside the courthouse where Trump is standing trial in the “hush money” case.
