Milwaukee news, Wisconsin news.

A Milwaukee boy died days after a blaze broke out at a duplex where his uncle used a stove as a source of heat and fell asleep.

Nearly a week after Rashaan died in the fire, his grandmother is still grappling to accept that he passed away.

“It’s a hard pill to swallow. It’s hard,” Bernice Julkes said.

“I miss talking to my grandbaby. He would call me, Facetime me all the time, all the time. He’d say, ‘Granny, whatcha doing? I miss that.”
