Suffolk County news, Massachusetts news.

A Massachusetts woman was arrested and charged in the death of her 3-year-old son who was found unresponsive at their Chelsea apartment Sunday.

Jennifer Prudencio was charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment of a child over the death of Yael Guardado-Prudencio.

Little Yael had a history of seizures and hemophilia, prosecutors said Wednesday. In the days leading up to his death, the toddler frequently vomited blood.

Prudencio left the sick child in the care of her older children, aged 7 and 8, and went out for the night on Saturday despite seeing him vomiting that day.
