A man was fatally shot outside a Houston gas station late Monday after a fight broke out among a large group of people, the Houston Police Department said.
A disturbance erupted in the parking lot of a Shell gas station near the intersection of South Loop East and Cullen Boulevard just before 10 p.m.
“What we know so far is that we have one male victim, estimated to be in his mid-20s to early 30s, who sustained a gunshot wound,” the department said.
“He was immediately transported to the hospital by HFD, but unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.”
Investigators said that the group moved to a nearby cul-de-sac during the fight and dispersed after the shooting leaving the mortally wounded man on the ground.
“At this point, we do not have any suspect or vehicle information.”
No arrests were made and a homicide investigation has been launched as detectives review surveillance video from the scene.
