Authorities in Washington DC said that the body found in the Potomac River Saturday had no connection to the deadly plane crash that occurred days earlier over the same area.
Crews found the adult male’s body as they searched the Woodrow Wilson Bridge area of the river for the bodies of those killed in the Wednesday collision between an American Airlines flight and a Black Hawk military helicopter.

Search efforts turned into an extensive recovery operation after authorities determined that all 67 people aboard the plane and helicopter perished in the crash.
D.C. Police said the body found on Saturday had no connection to the crash adding that the death remains under ongoing investigation.
