A Massachusetts man was taken into custody Friday after his girlfriend’s lifeless body was found inside their shared home.
Officers conducting a wellness check at the home on Great Road in Stow encountered Shane Curry who refused to let them in.
When officers were finally able to access the home about two hours later, they found Curry’s girlfriend Naveah Goddard dead inside the residence.

Detectives described the 17-year-old’s death as suspicious and arrested Curry on assault and battery charges.
The Middlesex DA’s Office is considering more charges against Curry.
Authorities will be conducting an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
