‘He’s gone’: Ohio college student gunned down by 2 carjackers; suspects remain at large

Authorities in Cincinnati, Ohio are looking for two suspects after a 21-year-old college student was fatally shot during a carjacking early Saturday.

21-year-old Benjamin Addison was gunned down at around 2:15 a.m. in the 200 block of Highland Avenue while hanging out with friends.

Addison went back to his car to check the headlights and found two strangers inside the vehicle.

  • Witnesses said Addison was shot after he confronted the two strangers who then ran away from the scene; Addison’s friends called the police and his parents were then alerted.

    “I said, ‘Is he hurt?’ and she said he’s gone,” said the victim’s mother. “I just, I lost it.”

    “This is a nightmare. I kept thinking, any minute I’m just going to wake up and think, this is a horrible dream.”
