Tennessee boy, 12, gunned down in ‘very tragic hunting accident’ at Alabama nature preserve

A Tennessee boy died earlier this month after he was accidentally shot during a trip to an Alabama nature preserve, authorities said.

The 12-year-old Pleasantville, Tennessee boy was shot on the Sugar Foot Hunting Preserve in Perry County on March 6.

He was reportedly with his family in Scott Station for a construction project when the property owner invited them to a feral hog hunt.

    He was declared dead shortly later at Bibb Medical Center in Centreville.

    “Everything’s leading to this being a very tragic hunting accident,” Bibb County Coroner Patrick Turner said.
