Kentucky toddler succumbs to injuries 4 days after house fire

A Kentucky toddler didn’t get to celebrate her second birthday on March 17 after she succumbed to injuries she sustained in a house fire last week.

The blaze tore through Keegan’s Powell County home on March 8. She, her father, and two other siblings were inside the residence when it caught fire.

First responders successfully revived Keegan who was found without a pulse in the burning residence.

    “She was our St. Paddy’s Day baby. She was our lucky charm,” KeeKee’s grandmother said.

    The tragic girl’s father and siblings were released from the hospital to find out that their home was totally damaged.

    In addition to KeeKee, a family dog also perished in the fire.
