A Connecticut toddler was mauled to death by a dog at an East Hartford home on Wednesday.
Officers responded to the scene shortly after 3 p.m. to find a 1-year-old boy suffering from multiple dog bites, police spokesperson Marc Caruso said.

The child received life-saving measures at the scene before being taken to the hospital where he succumbed “despite the valiant effort of medical professionals.”
Authorities removed two dogs from the residence.
