A 14-year-old is accused of stealing their family car and causing a fiery crash that claimed a teen girl’s life early Tuesday.

Los Angeles officers spotted the Toyota driving without headlights shortly after midnight and tried to stop it but the driver took off at high speed.

The child behind the wheel ended up slamming the car into a pole at Ventura Boulevard and Balboa Avenue causing the car to burst into flames.
