The call for help of a Brazilian woman went unanswered Thursday hours before her husband sent a selfie of himself lying next to her corpse to her loved ones.
Daniele Vieria, 34, texted the godmother of her 16-year-old son “Help, he wants to kill me” at 12:48 a.m. referring to her violent husband, Jose Torres.
The 39-year-old is now accused of stabbing his wife to death and snapping a picture of himself next to her body.
When the godmother finally woke up at around 5 a.m. and read the message, she rushed to Vieria’s home and found her dead.
Torres was found injured with self-inflicted stab wounds. He was taken to Mamanguape General Hospital where he remains.
Police Chief Sylvio Rabelo revealed that Torres had previously attacked Vieria twice before “It culminated with this criminal act.”
