A 68-year-old man was brutally assaulted and choked to death over drugs and money in a bloody scene, the NYPD said.
Calvin Alexander died on January 31 inside his Far Rockaway home where 35-year-old Gyasi Denis launched a violent assault on him, court documents revealed.
Denis allegedly bludgeoned Alexander with a piece of wooden molding, chomped on him, bit him “all over his body” and choked him to death before leaving his body to rot there for three days.
A concerned friend of Alexander made the grisly discovery of the blood-soaked scene and called the police.
“There was blood on the walls, blood on the door, blood on the closet, blood all over the bed,” Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said.
Denis, who told the friend that “Calvin’s dead” before fleeing the scene, confessed again at the police station after his arrest.
He reportedly told detectives that his victim was “bleeding like in the gore movies when the blood drips.”
He also confessed to stealing Alexander’s credit card days after the murder.
