Florida girl, 5, struck by car; killed while playing in parking space

A Florida girl was fatally struck by a car Friday afternoon while playing with her siblings in a parking space, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The 5-year-old girl was struck at around 5:20 p.m. while playing in a parking space/white-painted safety zone in the Sunset Village Parking Lot east of US-41.

    The victim died after being rushed to a hospital by her mother. Her identity was not made public.

    Castillo was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license involving death.
