A DeKalb County gas store clerk was killed in a heinous attack by a homeless he used to help, feed, and shelter on Tuesday.

Police found 53-year-old Julian Faulkner standing over 25-year-old Vivek Saini still holding the hammer he used in the killing.

Saini suffered from “severe head trauma” and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another store clerk, who could barely speak after witnessing the massacre, gave detectives access to surveillance footage that showed Faulkner hitting Saini’s skull with the hammer about 50 times.

Investigators learned that Saini and other store clerks had been allowing the homeless suspect into the store and offering him free food and drinks.

On the night he attacked Saini, the clerk had reportedly asked Faulkner to leave after he outlasted his stay at the business.
