Los Angeles news, California news.

A hit-and-run crash left 3 family members dead and a one-year-old survivor fighting for her life, Los Angeles authorities said.

Minutes before the New Year, Hanna Sofia Cortes Bernal along with her mother, father, and five-year-old sister were struck by a speeding car that blew past a stop sign as the driver fled another crash scene.

The family’s sedan crashed into a fence and caught fire. All four passengers died except Hanna who was not originally expected to survive but began miraculously improving as she remains in the pediatric intensive care unit.
