Cary news, North Carolina news.

A North Carolina suspect accused of fatally hitting a 6-year-old outside her home with his car last week reportedly referred to the victim by an insulting term.

Andrew Everett, 50, became angry during questioning after he was accused of killing Joselin Perez Hernandez while speeding outside her Walnut Street, Cary home Friday morning.

Investigators believe Everett was driving 10 to 15 mph above the speed limit when he struck little Joselin.

The victim suffered spine and brain injuries and died at a hospital.
