Houston girl, 17, stabbed to death near upscale Galleria

A fight over a bag between two women turned deadly Saturday morning near Houston’s upscale Galleria, police said.

A 17-year-old girl was left two die on the sidewalk with multiple stab wounds minutes after a security agents was flagged down about the fight at around 11 a.m.

The victim died at the scene. The suspected killer was described as a woman in her mid- 20s. she was last seen in a brown jacket and brown leggings, riding a blue bicycle that she later abandoned.

  • Assistant Police Chief Wyatt Martin said the teen victim was an employee of The Galleria but it wasn’t immediately clear whether she knew her killer.

    “We do not believe this is something that is creating any additional danger to people shopping in the area,” Martin said.

    “Please be aware of your surroundings and just look out for yourself and the people around you and be safe.”
