Los Angeles news, California news.

The human remains dug up from a Los Angeles backyard are believed to be those of a person who disappeared in June.

Homicide detectives excavated the remains from the backyard of a 1-acre property near Woodley Avenue and Woodley Place in the North Hills neighborhood.

“You can’t really believe it,” a local said. “It’s like the weirdest thing to happen.”
