Missouri man arrested after teen girlfriend’s body found stabbed, shot, & beaten

A 19-year-old Kansas City man was arrested this week after his girlfriend’s body was found with stab, gunshot, and traumatic wounds on November 12.

Tyheem V. Anderson denied killing Amauri Hughes after the 17-year-old was found dead near her home in Grandview with various wounds.

A witness told detectives that she saw Hughes sitting on a couch, her hands in the air, while FaceTiming with her one day earlier.

    Anderson said that he and Hughes got into an altercation on November 12 over some content on her phone.

    He claimed that he called an Uber for her and never saw her again.

    He was charged with assault, armed criminal action, and kidnapping.
