3-year-old Memphis boy shoots younger child; caretaker sought

Authorities in Memphis are searching for the male caretaker of two toddlers after one of them shot the other Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire at a home on East Belle Haven Road at around 1 p.m.

A woman told police that a 3-year-old boy shot another child, a 2-year-old boy, in the right arm.

    The woman said that she left the kids in the care of a male friend who fled the scene after the shooting.

    Police are now looking for the friend’s car believed to be a 2014 Chevy with Tennessee tags BNM20290.
