Crash involving passenger bus leaves 14 people injured in California

A passenger bus crashed into a restaurant after a collision with a speeding car in Long Beach, California leaving at least 14 people wounded Thursday.

Authorities said that at around 3:15 p.m., a Dodge Charger ran through a stop sign and slammed into the bus at the intersection of South Street and California Avenue.

The Charger landed in front of the bus that kept heading into a restaurant’s storefront. The car ended up lodged into the building.

    At least one resident of the apartment above the restaurant had to be relocated.

    Following the successful rescue, the wrecked remains of the car caught flames as firefighters worked to clear out the scene.
