4 inmates, including suspected murderer, remain at large after escaping Georgia jail

Authorities in Bibb County, Georgia are looking for four inmates who escaped a local jail in the early hours of Monday.

Inmates Joey Fournier, 52; Marc Kerry Anderson, 24; Johnifer Dernard Barnwell, 37; and Chavis Demaryo Stokes, 29, escaped from the Bibb County Detention Center at around 3 a.m., jail officials said.

  • The fugitives took off in a blue Dodge Challenger after they sneaked through a damaged dayroom window and a fence.

    “The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, FBI, and United States Marshals Office are currently looking for the inmates,” the sheriff’s office said on Facebook.

    Fournier was reportedly being held for murder. Anyone with information about the inmates or their vehicle is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 877-682-7463.
