Body parts of a 9-year-old Brazilian girl were discovered in a refrigerator before her mother admitted to killing her and searching on the internet about how to get rid of her body and even cooking part of her chest.
30-year-old Ruth Floriano was arrested on Saturday shortly after her boyfriend’s mother made the gore discovery inside her Sao Paulo home.
The mother said that she decided to kill her daughter, Alany Silva, to harm her ex-boyfriend who loved the girl as his own child after he ended their relationship.
After initially denying the murder, Floriano changed her story at the police station telling detectives that she killed her daughter days after her birthday, between August 8 and 9, stabbing her while she brushed her teeth.
“He had a love for Alany, it was something inexplicable, you saw pictures of them together and you thought they were father and daughter, there’s no way,” Alany’s sister said.
“She said it was, from what I hear, it was to hit hurt and she did.”
Alany used to live with her biological dad and his family before recently moving in with her mom who would often abuse her.
“She spoke directly at the police station and all the family heard that she wanted to kill him and the other children, finish the job, and kill herself.”
