A Texas man was fatally shot while laying in bed next to his wife, who was not hurt, Dallas police said.
The victim was shot just before 2:15 a.m. in his apartment on Spruce Valley Lane in West Oak Cliff in Dallas.

The wife woke up to find the victim deceased. Investigators said a bullet went through the window of the victim’s second-floor apartment.
Police say the man was not the intended target of the shooting. No arrests have been made.
“Once you find out someone actually got shot, it’s heartbreaking. You know what I’m saying? There’s kids that play around here all the time. You see a bike right there. It’s kind of sad,” a neighbor said.
