A New Mexico girl was tragically killed by stray bullets while sleeping in her babysitter’s home trailer, authorities said announcing the arrest of a fifth suspect in her death.

On August 13, Galilea Samaniego was shot at around 5:48 a.m. when the suspects traveling in two stolen Kia Soul cars fired several shots at her babysitter’s trailer targeting the woman’s grandson.

The little girl was sleeping with her two sisters at the time of the drive-by shooting. She succumbed to her injuries at a hospital.

    Police arrested Sencheray Renee Hernandez, 19, her 17-year-old boyfriend, his 15-year-old brother, and two other male juveniles were arrested in connection to the incident.

    The babysitter’s grandson told detectives that he and the 17-year-old suspect were friends before “their friendship ended over a girl” and he started causing problems with him and threatening to “catch him.”
