Jackson County authorities identified a body found wrapped in plastic along an Alabama riverbank earlier this month as a missing Scottsboro man.
On August 18, at around 1 p.m., the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a human body in black plastic near the South Sauty Creek Boat Ramp in Lake Guntersville.
“We got a call from a fisherman who noticed what he thought was a bag, it ended up being black plastic,” said Sheriff Rocky Harnen.
“It was rather large and he was concerned about it, so he contacted the sheriff’s office.”
The sheriff’s office identified the body as 25-year-old Jamari Jajuan Moore. His death was ruled a homicide.
No suspects were arrested in connection with the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Capt. Tim Creel with the JCSO at 256-574-2610.
