Authorities in Florida said that a 9-year-old child found a gun and fired a fatal shot killing a 6-year-old on Monday afternoon.
Police in Jacksonville said that the kids were with an adult inside a residence on Shady Pine Street when the tragic incident unfolded.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Assistant Chief J.D. Stronko said that the adult in the house was questioned by detectives.
“We’re trying to get some answers to the specifics regarding the incident,” Stronko added.
Authorities did not specify the children’s ages or the relationship between them.
