A Salt Lake City toddler was killed over the weekend after he fell off his family’s boat and got struck by the propeller at a state park, police said.

3-year-old Walter Greer was spending Sunday with his family at the Echo State Park reservoir when tragedy struck just before 4:45 p.m.

“After falling in, Greer was then struck by the propeller at the rear of the boat,” Utah rangers stated adding that he died on impact as his parents, two sisters, and friends watched, horrified.
