Authorities in Maricopa County said that a 6-year-old girl died Friday after a tragic boat accident on Lake Pleasant.

First responders rushed the girl to a hospital after she was pulled from the lake at around 11 a.m.

Poor cellphone services prevented the family from reaching medical help but with the help of other boaters, the girl was brought to the Pleasant Harbor Marina where she received emergency treatment.

“I honestly have no words,” a boater at the lake said following the incident.

“There's nothing that I can say. I wish. I wish there was something that I could do better or take some of the grief from them, but the loss of a child is speechless and heartbreaking.”
